For ten years, I have been teaching undergraduates. The latest group (at Washburn University) are some great young people. It has been a great ride and I hope that I have helped them become better people.
I become a librarian because I wanted to help people. It was a great decision getting a graduate degree in library science. I look forward to a future in the profession that includes more writing and research.
Need advice? I have been helping college students manage their lives, make effective decisions, and also progress toward graduation. The students did not always listen to the message, but at least they heard the words.

Librarianship is not what it used to be. It is less about print resources and more about people.
That frightens many librarians.
